As many have learned, Celine was diagnosed with a rare disease a few years ago. She has been working hard to recover but she´s currently unable to prepare for the rest of the tour, which was planned to take place in the fall of 2023 and spring of 2024, with a stop in Norway, Oslo September 2023. We´re hoping that Celine will come back and visi, but unfortunately this will not happen anytime soon.
Celine: “I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again. I want you all to know, I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!”
Before the pandemic, Celine completed the first 52 shows of the Courage World Tour in North America. For obvious reasons, the tour was stopped in 2020, which also included two concerts in Oslo. Since the reopening, we have worked hard and purposefully with Celine´s team to get the tour back to Norway.
In early 2021 when the entertainment industry was still working under COVID restrictions, Celine filmed her first movie "Love Again", with stars such as Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan as main roles in the movie. Shortly afterwards Celine opened up about her rare diagnosis called Stiff Person's Syndrome, which causes severe and persistent muscle spasms, which has prevented her from living her normal life. Celine's medical team continues to evaluate and treat the condition.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We wish Celine all the best and a speedy recovery. We look forward to seeing her in Norway again when the opportunity arises!
